Most AI tools sell you their tokens with a markup and stop your agent when the package runs out. On an own-key plan Cicada works the other way: you bring the AI, we bring everything around it, and Cicada AI limits stop applying to you.
Step 1. Pick a provider
OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Google Gemini, OpenRouter, DeepSeek, Groq, Mistral or Together AI. Any service that speaks the OpenAI API works too: paste its address and model name.
Step 2. Paste the key
Open your provider's dashboard, create an API key and paste it into Profile, AI keys. Next to the field there is a link to the exact page where the key is made.
Step 3. Pick a model
Cicada checks the key with your provider and shows the models it offers. Pick one, and the key is saved encrypted. From then on you see only its start and the last four characters. The agent, AI blocks in automations, Suggest a reply, Improve, scoring and AI AGI all run on it.
Want more control?
Advanced settings give each group of tasks its own model or key: a cheap fast model for conditions, a strong one for agent replies. Voice replies run on your Fish Audio key, and voice notes are transcribed with your provider's speech model.
